What is the entrepreneurship phenomenon?

Entrepreneurship is the phenomenon that leads some people to look for a different future, starting up their own ideas, which give them independence and financial benefits. 

What does a good idea need to be a great professional project?

An idea without a plan will not (in the vast majority of cases) come to fruition. The success of an idea depends on having a good action plan. The entrepreneur needs to be knowledgeable in many areas that are probably unfamiliar to them (from marketing to taxes to be paid) and needs to draw up a detailed plan of all the aspects that will influence their business.

According to various studies, the average entrepreneur is a highly educated woman over 40...

This is the case in the projects in which I take part. Most of them are women and have a medium to high level of education. This has a positive impact on their entrepreneurial process because it is easier for them to understand concepts and draw up business or economic plans. For this reason, we always put a lot of emphasis on education before starting a business. The higher the level of education, the better the development of the entrepreneurial initiative. 

The beginning is usually hard, which is why coworking spaces have become popular. What benefits do they bring to entrepreneurs, and are they useful assets? 

Yes, without a doubt! Coworking spaces are really necessary because small entrepreneurs, who often create online businesses, do so from the confines of their homes. In this sense, coworking spaces are a great opportunity to create networks and generate synergies. 

New technologies are becoming a niche market in which to start a business. In your experience, what other sectors are preferred by entrepreneurs? 

Although new technologies are booming, there is also an increase in micro-entrepreneurship in sustainable businesses, related to food products, vegetable gardens, or artisanal preserves. 

This may be due to the fact that the Xunta is providing a great deal of help, promoting new support facilities for the social economy. We are on the right track, although I believe that we must continue to make progress in promoting the entrepreneurial culture through the education system. Entrepreneurship should be another area of knowledge in education.

The Xunta has set up the Galicia Business Office, a resource aimed at facilitating the implementation of new business initiatives. How is this proposal being received in the entrepreneurial sector? 

Right now, entrepreneurs have a wide range of resources at their disposal, from free programmes that help them to work on their business ideas, to offices such as the Galicia Business Office of the Xunta. Now is the time to become an entrepreneur.
