The Bonos Activa Comercio programme is an initiative of the Galician Regional Government through the First Vice-Presidency and Regional Ministry of Economy, Industry and Innovation, with the collaboration of the Galician Federation of Commerce, which aims to promote and encourage purchases in local businesses throughout Galicia.

In its first edition, in 2021, more than 117,000 Galicians downloaded the Bono Activa Comercio and there were a total of 5,200 participating businesses in the Community.

This year, new records were set, consolidating the success of the initiative: more than 166,000 people downloaded the voucher, whose availability was exhausted in just three days. So far, 6,200 businesses have joined the programme and nearly 5 million euros have already been mobilised.

Objective: to boost the Galician commercial sector

The Galician commercial sector has almost 55,000 businesses, in which more than 80% are self-employed workers and companies with less than two workers. Trade contributes significantly to employment, with a total of 176,200 affiliations, of which more than 106,000 correspond to local businesses, contributing significantly to the revitalisation of the local economy and the consolidation of the population.

The objective of the Bonos Activa Comercio programme is to stimulate commercial demand, helping consumers economically, as well as to promote consumption in commercial retailers participating in the campaign.

In addition, the programme aims to strengthen the commercial retail sector in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, bolster commercial activity by promoting the purchase of goods in shops, improve the working capital of commercial establishments and alleviate the negative impact of the current inflationary situation.

The deadline to join the network of businesses participating in this initiative is 30 November 2022.

Commercial retailers that carry out their commercial activity in Galicia and are self-employed entrepreneurs or small and medium-sized companies are eligible to join the Bonos Activa Comercio programme.

To do so, all you need to do is register at www.bonosactivacomercio.gal.

Through the programme's technological platform, businesses will have at their disposal the necessary information and will be able to consult the history of their sales, the vouchers already used, the credits made by the collaborating entity and other details of each operation.

Did you get your Bono Activa Comercio? It is time to use it

The deadline to use the Bono Activa Comercio is 31 December 2022. Each voucher has a discount of €30 for purchases made in participating shops, which can be consulted at www.bonosactivacomercio.gal filtering by city council.

The amount left on the voucher will be reduced with each purchase, until it has been used up, according to the value of the purchase, based on the following criteria:

- €5 discount on purchases equal to or greater than €20 and less than €30.

- €10 discount on purchases equal to or greater than €30 and less than €50.

- €15 discount on purchases equal to or greater than €50.

In addition, by choosing to shop in the network of local businesses, you contribute to stimulating the economy, generating local employment in your neighbourhood and saving time and reducing the environmental impact by avoiding long trips.
