The Xunta Xunta supports energy efficiency in Galician SMEs
A new call for the Bono Energía Pyme program, promoted by the Xunta de Galicia through the Instituto Energético de Galicia (Inega), is now open. Its objective is to support small, medium-sized companies and self-employed Galician trade sector, hospitality or services for the implementation of energy improvement projects. In this way, it is sought that they can lower the cost of their electricity bill, favoring investments in the field of efficiency that allow them to maintain their competitiveness.
This is the third edition of this line of support which, in the two previous editions, has already enabled the promotion of nearly 1,500 actions in Galicia, with an investment of 6.1 million euros.
This year the program has an endowment of 4.2 million euros, almost double that in 2022, with which it is expected to benefit 1,000 self-employed and SMEs, with savings of 860,000 euros per year in the energy bill and the creation or maintenance of about half a hundred direct jobs.
