The Xunta is accepting applications for new aid for energy saving and efficiency in Galician companies until 15 September, with a budget of over 7.5 million euros

Being energy efficient not only makes us more sustainable, it also increases our competitiveness. And constructing a Galicia that is up to the challenges of the future is everyone's responsibility. For this reason, the Xunta offers both citizens and companies all kinds of aid for this purpose, to help develop this environmentally friendly energy model, whose cornerstones should be savings, efficiency, the promotion of renewable energies and energy diversification.

These are priority objectives, as they imply less dependence on the outside world and a significant reduction in costs for the economy, which is why it is also worth mentioning other global measures that cover all sectors of society, such as information, awareness and training campaigns, as well as an advisory service and the promotion of sectoral measures through aid for projects for the rational use of energy.

In addition to other open calls, the deadline for applications for new aid for energy saving and efficiency in Galician companies is open until 15 September. More than 7.5 million euros aimed at supporting between 35 and 55% of the cost of the projects, depending on the size of the beneficiary companies, to accompany them in their energy transition with a view to achieving a more sustainable business fabric. A process that undoubtedly opens a path of opportunities for Galician companies, helping them to grow through innovation and without losing sight of key aspects such as decarbonisation, the circular economy, sustainable mobility and digitalisation.

With the deadline open until 30 June, these grants are aimed at improving technology in industrial equipment and processes and implementing energy management systems.

Grants up to 80% of investments in energy-consuming equipment or elements that contribute to efficient energy management through different types of vouchers:

  • Energy advice voucher: for energy diagnostics or audits.
  • Envelope voucher: for solar control elements.
  • Lighting voucher: for the replacement of lighting equipment.
  • Electrical installations voucher: for improving energy efficiency in electrical installations to guarantee a quality and reliable supply.
  • Equipment voucher: for the replacement of energy-consuming equipment such as coffee machines, washing machines, dryers, irons or any energy-consuming equipment of the establishment itself, provided that a B rating or higher can be proven.
  • Air conditioning voucher: for equipment that reduces the energy consumption of air conditioning, ventilation and domestic hot water installations.
  • Building automation voucher: for home automation and/or building automation systems that allow for more efficient management of energy and energy expenditure.
