Galicia promotes the most innovative technology startups
The initiatives that were positively evaluated but did not benefit from the state programme Neotec and Neotec Mujeres Emprendedoras (Women Entrepreneurs) 2022 of CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology) have the opportunity to promote their business plans from Galicia with the support of the Regional Government of Galicia
No good project should go unfunded. This is the commitment of the Regional Government of Galicia with innovative entrepreneurship and with the support to high potential companies that contribute to the transfer of knowledge to the productive fabric. With this objective in mind, the third edition of the programme to support business plans of recently created technology companies that plan to commercialise innovative products has been announced.
The projects will be selected among those initiatives positively evaluated by the Neotec and Neotec Women Entrepreneurs 2022 programme of the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) that had not been beneficiaries due to insufficient credit. In addition, these initiatives must be intensive in the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity.
Both Galician companies and companies from other autonomous communities may apply, as long as they undertake to transfer their tax and social headquarters and work centre to Galicia within one month of the resolution.
With a budget of 3 million euros, the grants will cover all actions in the companies' business plans between 2023 and 2025:
- Up to 70% of the eligible budget of the action, with a maximum aid amount of 250,000 euros per beneficiary.
- Actions that include the hiring of at least one doctor may be financed up to 85% of the budget of the action, with a maximum amount of 325,000 euros per beneficiary.
The projects will begin on 1 October. They may request an advance payment of the total amount of the first year's aid, in addition to requesting a maximum advance payment of 60% of the total aid in subsequent years, if necessary.
In the two previous editions of this call, 29 innovative projects in sectors such as ICT, health, energy and agri-food were supported, with a total investment of 10.4 million euros.
