Tegra, the alliance between Gradiant and Telefónica Tech supported by the Xunta de Galicia, celebrates its fifth anniversary, establishing itself as a successful case of public-private cooperation

The Tegra Cybersecurity Innovation Centre, launched by Gradiant and the company Telefónica Tech with the support of the Xunta de Galicia, celebrates five years of experience as a reference initiative in the field of innovation in cybersecurity.

Founded in 2018, it was created with the aim of facilitating knowledge transfer in cybersecurity to Galician companies, as well as promoting and raising awareness in society about the importance of digital security. Over the years, it has focused on the development of technologies linked to the protection of information, defence against digital fraud and the generation of cyber-intelligence. It has also developed products and services to strengthen information security in Galician companies through advanced cryptographic techniques.

Tegra also focused its attention on designing mechanisms to verify identity in accessing information. It also designed tools for data analysis, document classification systems and the detection of irregular access to information.

In total, a joint investment of 3.85 million euros was made, of which 1.1 million euros corresponds to the investment made by the Galician Innovation Agency.

This strategic alliance in the field of innovation in cybersecurity contributes to advancing Galician industry towards digitisation, in line with the challenges and priorities of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3) of Galicia and, thus, to its competitiveness and that of SMEs, offering solutions that respond to a critical factor for the business fabric such as security.

Tegra also plays a very important role in positioning Galicia's technology in an emerging sector with great growth potential, such as cybersecurity, and in the creation of qualified employment.
