Frigoríficos Rosa de los Vientos is a family company based in the Port of Marín and founded in 1992 by Manuel Otero Patiño and Mercedes González. Its main business area is the processing and deep-freezing of cephalopods, octopus and squid, especially.

Its facilities located in the Port of Marín (Pontevedra) are equipped with cold storage rooms, freezing tunnels and cooking facilities for cephalopods, mollusks and crustaceans, equipped with the most modern technologies.

Quality, the selection of the best raw materials and constant innovation in production processes are the pillars on which they have built their growth in these more than thirty years of experience.

Precisely, as a result of the innovation work carried out by the company, in 2019 they launched octopus croquettes on the market and in 2021, in collaboration with the company La Central Heladera de Ourense, they presented octopus ice cream.

"O Pulpeiro" is the brand name of Frigoríficos Rosa de los Vientos under which they sell in supermarkets all products for the final consumer, such as octopus (in different preparations and formats), octopus fumet, mussels, clean squid, sardines, razor clams and hake. The company has the Galicia Calidade seal, as a guarantee of Galician origin and quality, committed to an artisanal and sustainable process.

Rosa de los Vientos is present in more than 30 countries, such as Italy, France, Germany and England. To strengthen and continue expanding in the foreign market, they have the support program Galicia Avanza, through which they have the necessary advice and financing to carry out improvements related to their digitalization, to optimize the website, update the corporate image, access digital catalogs or develop a video presentation of the company.
