The Atiga group is the alliance of Galician statewide technology centers that play a key and strategic role in the region's innovative ecosystem

Technology centers play a fundamental role in promoting innovation, technological development and the competitiveness of companies, thus contributing to economic growth and technological progress in Galicia.

The Galician Intersectoral Technology Alliance (Atiga) was created ten years ago at the initiative of Aimen, Anfaco-Cecopesca and the Galician Automotive Technology Center (Ctag). Subsequently, Gradiant was integrated in 2013 and EnergyLab and the Instituto Tecnolóxico de Galicia (ITG), at the beginning of 2015. The latest incorporation has been Cetim, so that the alliance includes the seven Galician technology centers of a statewide nature.

Some of its key functions include:

  • Research and development (R&D). Galicia's technology centers carry out research and technological development projects in various areas, such as industry, agriculture, health, energy and environmental sustainability.
  • Technology transfer. They facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technologies between research and companies, helping them to apply technological advances in their products and processes.
  • Support for business innovation. They offer advisory services and support to companies in identifying innovation opportunities, managing intellectual property and seeking financing for R&D projects.
  • Education and training. They organize training programs for professionals and companies, with the aim of improving their technical and technological skills.
  • Prototype development and validation. They assist companies in the prototyping and validation of new technologies and products, which facilitates the introduction of innovations in the market.
  • Internationalization support. They collaborate in the internationalization of companies, providing information on foreign markets, international regulations and collaboration opportunities.
  • Technology Watch. They track technology trends and market analysis to help companies make informed decisions about their innovation strategies.
  • Collaboration in European projects. They participate in research and development projects financed by the European Union, which allows Galician companies to access international innovation and financing networks.
