The purpose of this new call, promoted by the Xunta through the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), is to stimulate the implementation of large business investment projects in Galicia. In this way, it seeks to encourage the revitalisation of economic activity in the region and to promote the maintenance and creation of employment, through the development and improvement of existing companies and the creation and implementation of new business initiatives.

The support, which is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises because of their particular capacity to generate jobs and constitute a factor of social stability and economic development, facilitates the promotion of projects to set up new establishments, expand the capacity of existing ones and diversify or change production processes.

The call includes two fields of action:

• Projects with a business investment of between 800,000 euros and 10 million euros in tangible and intangible fixed assets, civil works, capital equipment, computer applications or acquisition of assets of an establishment.
• Investment projects of €100,000 or more, with a job creation of 25 or more full-time permanent jobs.

The contributions cover up to 35 % of eligible investments or up to 24 months' wage costs for all new recruits in the case of small companies and 25 % in the case of initiatives promoted by medium-sized enterprises.

The non-competitive call for applications will remain open until 30 September 2024, unless the appropriations are exhausted.
