With more than 50 years of experience in the elaboration of meat products behind it, this company from Lugo has been able to find the balance between tradition and the use of the most advanced technologies to innovate and boost its growth while maintaining its commitment to quality.

Torre de Núñez, which has established itself as one of the most relevant brands in the Galician food industry, is firmly expanding, conquering not only the local market, but also the international market. With a trajectory that exceeds half a century, this family company has been able to combine the richness of tradition with the advances of modernity, maintaining at all times what in the words of its CEO, José Manuel Núñez, is the most important and "non-negotiable", the quality of its products. Since its origins, the company has been dedicated to the production of high quality Serrano ham and sausages, always focusing on consumer satisfaction and wellbeing, as demonstrated by one of its star products, its Gran Reserva Duroc Serrano ham with 25% less salt than the average, adapting to the needs of an increasingly demanding public that is aware of the importance of a balanced diet.

Torre de Núñez, which markets 5 and a half million kilos of processed meat products and currently employs 150 people, has grown by leaps and bounds since its modest beginnings, becoming a benchmark in the agri-food sector, a reflection of its solidity and the trust it generates among its customers. Currently, the distribution of the products of this family-owned company goes far beyond Spanish borders, reaching 32 countries in different continents and internationalization has already reached 15% of its turnover, a figure in continuous growth and which is expected to continue increasing in the coming years.

Respect for tradition is palpable in every step taken by the company, which, however, does not lag behind in terms of innovation. There is no doubt that innovation is part of Torre de Núñez's keys to success, as it encompasses all areas of the company, from updating its product range to incorporating technology in its production processes, always with the aim of adapting to new market trends and satisfying consumer demands. "It is a work of continuous improvement on the one hand: organoleptic improvement of the product, improving its conservation, presentation, and also the development of new products that are not in the catalog. It is a process of listening, observing the market and detecting these trends in order to try to develop products that respond to these trends when it comes to updating your assortment," explains Núñez.  "In terms of processes, we try to innovate in terms of how to do the job as efficiently as possible. This is where the issue of technology comes in, the machinery, the production lines... but also how to organize production and how to provide a little bit of resources for it," he adds.

The family character of Torre de Núñez is also another of its strongholds, an aspect that translates into a closer and more direct relationship with both customers and suppliers, which has allowed them to build a solid and reliable base over the years, maintaining that touch of craftsmanship and care in each of its products, qualities highly valued in the food sector. "In our case, we can still afford to talk about craftsmanship in production, natural products, made as in the old days, and a manufacturing methodology that is governed by this guideline," the CEO points out.

Torre de Núñez faces the future with a clear strategy: to continue offering high quality products, promoting innovation and maintaining its roots. Among its objectives, to continue growing, to reinforce its presence in existing markets and to conquer new territories, as well as to keep updating its assortment to respond to new consumer needs. The expansion project of its facilities in Conturiz in which they are immersed or the recent expansion of its dryer in O Corgo are a clear example of its firm commitment to growth and continuous improvement, which will allow them not only to increase their production capacity but also to strengthen the quality that distinguishes them.
