Mobalco, a benchmark in the kitchen furniture market
With its roots in a small family carpentry shop founded in 1959 in A Pobra do Caramiñal, Mobalco has evolved into a leading brand in the kitchen furniture market, with a current turnover of 6 million euros and a workforce of 50 people.
"We specialized in kitchen furniture for the local market in 1978 and expanded our operations to wholesale in 1994," the company explains. This diversification marked the beginning of their rise in the national market, which was boosted in 2003 with the presentation of their collections at the Espacio Cocina Sici Fair (Valencia), where they also received awards for their design.
One of the keys to Mobalco's success lies in its commitment to sustainable manufacturing, a commitment that began more than 25 years ago, which translates into products finished with water-based varnishes, noble materials that are easy to recycle, the elimination of plastic in packaging and the inclusion of accessories that facilitate healthy eating.
Mobalco's work philosophy is based on authenticity, simplicity and timelessness. "We try to base ourselves on sustainability and environmental responsibility, using sustainable materials and production practices that respect nature, as well as betting on innovation and quality in all processes, always guided by transparency and honesty in business relationships, which allows us to build a solid reputation based on sustainability and customer satisfaction," they explain.
Innovation, design and sustainability
Sustainability is a strategic focus at Mobalco, prioritizing the use of wood from controlled logging in sustainably managed forests and certified low-formaldehyde-emitting boards. "All our products incorporate CARB2-certified boards. In fact, we have been pioneers in their use in Spain and use them as standard in all our collections," they point out. Moreover, although they incorporate advanced technology in their production process, their craftsmen bring skill and detail to each piece, ensuring a balance between technological innovation and artisanal tradition in each product.
Ecofriendly design has also contributed to its reputation as a benchmark for quality and eco-design. One of its most emblematic creations, the Organic kitchen, embodies this ecological mindset and promotes a healthier lifestyle connected to nature. "It is characterized by its solid structure and functional design, accompanied by avant-garde elements, such as the ceramic stone bread machine," they point out.
In the area of R&D&I, Mobalco focuses on continuously improving its designs, processes and materials, developing innovative projects, including the market-oriented Aero collection.
Currently, Mobalco's presence extends to several countries, with a network of distributors in markets such as Andorra, France, the United Kingdom, Russia, Hong Kong, Portugal and the United States. Looking to the future, Mobalco aims to present a new collection at Espacio Habitat, Feria de Valencia, next October.
