Since its launch in 2022, the Digital Capabilities Map of Galicia, led by the GaiásTech center of the Axencia para a Modernización Tecnolóxica de Galicia, has served as a guide for companies, organizations and professionals, fostering their collaboration and the exchange of knowledge, as well as contributing to the positioning of the community on the world technological map.

The recent publication of this directory in open format last March in the Open Data portal of the Xunta, in addition to further facilitate access to information, makes possible the reuse and analysis of all these data, opening new avenues for research and technological development, promoting growth and opening the door to both startups and established companies to contribute to the technological fabric of Galicia. With this decision, GaiásTech adds a new service to its intense commitment to boosting the digital transformation of the Galician productive fabric.

The Digital Capabilities Map has grown exponentially since its birth, adding value and visibility to local digital competencies and becoming a vital tool for the visibility and development of the Galician technological ecosystem. With 350 registered entities and detailed information on more than 1,400 products and services and 78 disruptive technologies at present, this directory is configured as much more than a database, acting as a meeting point for innovation.

The initiative not only facilitates interaction between different players in the technology sector, but also promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing. By highlighting the areas of expertise and services offered by the registered entities, the map allows any company to find the perfect strategic partner, boost joint projects and explore new business opportunities in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and robotics, among others.

The transversal axis of the Galicia Dixital 2030 Strategy focuses, precisely, on the technological specialization of this Community through the promotion of an ICT sector adapted to the needs and particularities of the territory and the creation, attraction and retention of digital talent. The GaiásTech Center, located in the City of Culture, aims to contribute to the digital transformation of the Galician productive fabric favoring the generation of products, solutions and services with a technological footprint, which provide greater value, innovation and competitiveness in a global environment.
