TRADE IN ARTISAN PRODUCTS
This catalogue details the administrative procedures necessary to start a craft activity, drawing a distinction between food and non-food crafts.
Food craftsmanship covers the activity of elaboration, manipulation and processing of food products which, complying with the requirements established by current regulations, is subject to conditions throughout the production process which, in addition to being environmentally friendly, will guarantee consumers an individualised final product, safe from a health and hygiene point of view, of high quality and with differential characteristics, obtained thanks to small productions controlled by the personal involvement of the craftsman or craftswoman.
Non-food craftsmanship includes any economic activity involving the creation, production, restoration or repair of goods of artistic or popular value, as well as the provision of services, provided that these are carried out or obtained through processes in which personal involvement is a predominant factor and the final product is individualised and distinct from industrial products.
Decree 174/2019, of 19 December, which regulates food craftsmanship.
Law 1/1992, of 11 March, on craftsmanship in Galicia.
Decree 218/2001, of 7 September, which recasts the regulations in force on craftsmanship.
