RESTAURANTS OR CAFETERIAS
The object of this catalog is the activity of catering companies in the restaurant or cafeteria modality.
Restaurants or cafeterias are catering establishments engaged, on a regular and professional basis, in supplying, in establishments open to the general public, food and beverages, at a price, to be consumed on the premises or in annexes attached thereto. They are classified in different groups, cafeterias belonging to group II.

- University canteens, school canteens, labor canteens, gastronomic societies, clubs and any other canteens that provide their services only to private contingents and are not open to the general public.
- Establishments that, whatever their ownership, provide food and beverage services free of charge or on a non-profit basis.
- Restaurant services in tourist lodging establishments, provided that their operation is not independent from the lodging.
- Businesses that serve food and beverages through vending machines and catering services.
- Establishments known as bars, coffee bars, pubs, night clubs, discotheques and the like.
- Those companies that provide food and beverage services free of charge or on a non-profit basis.
- Companies that provide this service in public means of transportation.
- Businesses that serve food and beverages on an itinerant basis.
In order to initiate a restaurant or cafeteria start-up activity, it is necessary to present a responsible declaration, on the part of the promoter, in which it is stated the fulfillment of the requirements foreseen in the tourist regulation for the intended classification and the commitment to maintain them during the time of validity of the activity. This declaration enables the start of the activity from the day of its presentation and implies the registration of the establishment in the Registry of Companies and Tourist Activities of the Autonomous Community of Galicia.
Subsequently, the administration will carry out the necessary controls and inspection related to the veracity of the declared data and will issue the corresponding resolution.
